I love this book! It would be so awesome as an audio, definitely be checking my library for this.
It must have taken me 2 weeks to read this book because I was constantly nudging the hubs and saying “hey you gotta hear this” or “Oh my god listen to this”

So many positive comments here, I never would have guessed that for a stats book! Your review has great highlights that I would be interested in. (It drives me nuts when parents give their kids bizarre names!) I will definitely look for this one at my library. Thanks for your review!

I enjoyed this a lot! It’s funny how I came to read it: one of those book list memes was going around, and I crossed it out as a book I had no interest in reading, and then other bloggers commented and changed my mind

Anyway… I didn’t know about Gang Leader for a Day. It definitely sounds interesting too.

I’m glad you’ve gotten my biggest worry out of the way: it isn’t boring. I hated stats in college. Not a huge numbers fan.

I’ll definitely put it on hold.

I listened to this audiobook a while back and really enjoyed it as well. I’m not sure I agree with all the conclusions drawn but they certainly make some excellent points. Plus it was fun to listen to.

Before I started blogging I belonged to a ton of online reading groups and this was one of the first things I tried (and failed, only read a couple of chapters) to read for a discussion. I wonder now if I would have liked it more as an audiobook…!

I think audio would definitely be the way to go with this one. I don’t think a hard copy would hold my attention much.

I found this book fascinating too!

I loved the study on how your name affects your likelyhood of acheiving various things. The way they look at things from a different point of view to everyone else makes this book unique. I have given a copy of this book to lots of very different people, and they have all loved it – unlike some of my other choices!
