Today’s prompt for BBAW is a reading meme:

I’m going to answer them all…short and sweet. It’s actually not too hard since I’m so wishy-washy. 
Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack? Nope, no snacks.
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you? Don’t mind, but don’t do.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open? All of the above.
Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? Both.
Hard copy or audio books? Both.
Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point? Anywhere.
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? No, can’t stop reading!
What are you currently reading? Lolita.
What is the last book you bought? Catching Fire & Frankenstein.
Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time? One usually; multiples, occasionally.
Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read? Anytime in my cushy chair.
Do you prefer series books or stand alone books? Not picky.
Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? Lately, The Calligrapher’s Daughter.
How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?) Wherever I find space.

I need to re-think my reading space. I am thinking of moving some stuff around so that the loft can be MINE and not overrun by kids playing the Wii. At this time of the year, I sometimes sit in the garage for peace and quiet. There are tables and chairs out there but during the summer it’s too hot. Maybe I can turn the garage into a rumpus room for the kids.

I tend to skip over words I don’t know (usually I can figure out the gist of the meaning within the rest of the paragraph anyway) too. It’s just too hard to stop reading!

Interesting that you have both Lolita and Catching Fire on tap! (*grin*) Very different books there. I can’t wait to read your review on Lolita! I read that book because of that song by the Police “Don’t Stand So Close to Me.”

Lolita … I read it when I was too young and I didn’t get it. Perhaps I should give it another try.
