A few weeks ago I announced a read-along for Lolita. And a few people planned on joining in, except life got in the way. And then I flaked. On my own read-along. How lame is that?
So. Take 2.
Here is the revised plan:
- Read Lolita.
- Discuss.
- Put a link to your discussion in Mr. Linky.
- Visit all the people who are slogging through this one with you. Or dancing through it. Or stomping on Humbert Humbert.
Personally, I plan on finishing it next week…in honor of banned books week.

Oh man, this is the first time I’ve heard of this. I love Lolita! If I’d known about this in advance, I’d have joined in with you guys.

You can still join in, or link to an old post!
Lolita rocks. The movie is awesome too..the old one not the new one.

I really need to return the stupid Netflix movies I’ve been not watching for the last 2 months and request this. along with my Chartroose dare of Ingmar Bergman’s films.
I’m on page 47!!! and I have the annotated version so if you need anything ‘sssplained’ let me know.
.-= Care´s last blog ..Something Wicked This Way Comes =-.
I’m in! I can’t remember what page I’m on, but I am so jealous of Care’s annotated version!!! I’ll definitely. Want some ‘ssplainin’”
. Humbert Humbert is creepin’ me out!
I know! I’m wishing I had an annotated version too!
Boo to me. I didn’t know you were having a read-along and I am swamped because of the fact that we’re “remodeling” our kitchen (that sounds so uppity — it’s a DIY thing, so it’s going about as fast as my reading) and I was already reading waaaay too slowly, this month. Lolita’s on the shelf, though, and some day I swear I’m going to read it!!!!

I might have to do this again next year…there’s plenty of stuff to discuss!
I read Lolita a couple years ago…won’t have time to re-read it this week…but I’d be glad to throw in my thoughts of the book! I think that once someone reads Lolita, they never forget their impression of the book.
