Moby Dick Monday

moby dick button

Today, I have nothing. I haven’t picked up the whale since last Sunday. I had plans to catch up on my reading on my days off, but I forgot to take into account the fact that we spent yesterday at my mom’s celebrating Christmas, and today, I’m at work. Luckily, next weekend will be a four day weekend, so I’ll have time then to get caught up.

In the meantime, Billy has a few things he’d like to say:

  1. Not sure what Melville has to do with goats but your remark hits the spot because today they’ve started eliminating (yes, eliminating) goats in Holland because of Q-Fever :( ( The government was a bit late (*cough*) with taking precautions.

Billy shouldn’t take it personally, but it sure does make for a funny post and pic. Your copy of Moby looks quite daunting. Mine doesn’t look nearly as dense but I checked and it’s not abridged or anything. That would be a hoot. I read the abridged and you all read the full version. In my dreams.

LOL My copy isn’t nearly as big as yours, but like Ti I checked and it’s not abridged. You must have a lot of notes on the text and essays and stuff!

  4. Billy, Millie and I want you to know that we are very proud of you for finding your political voice and making such excellent picket signs. We are against eating goats (and basset hounds, but we haven’t read a description of that anywhere yet, thank goodness), and we hope you’ll continue to bring issues like this to the world’s attention.

Also, we recommend that you do not watch The Alaska Experiment, as some nasty things happen to goats on that show.

Billy tries to stay on top of important issues. Especially the benefits of vegetarianism…for both humans and goats.

You tell ‘em, Billy! Melville was obviously very insensitive to the needs of goats.
