I bought this book, only because it was on the literary fiction short list for the Indie Lit Awards, for which I was a panelist.

If I had to describe this book in one word, I’d say cute.
In fact, I think that’s all I’ll say.

I know I’ve done a couple of other very short reviews, but for the life of me, I can’t remember what they were for!
LOL! That was sort of the impression I got about this book.

I have been so on the fence about this book! The first few reviews were a little tepid, but then everything recent has been stellar, so I am not sure what to make of it. I think I am going to read it eventually, but I will reserve judgment until I am done and let you know what you think.
I’d go with quaint.

I hear charming a lot too. I bought it for my grandmother for Christmas, which seemed appropriate. Will I read it? I haven’t heard anyone say it’s literary yet, so perhaps that inevitable late March snowstorm will compel me to pick it up off my shelf.

Really? That sounds like the kiss of death!
I liked it a lot, there were several discussable themes. My only quibble would be that there was almost too much going on at the climax (felt a bit rushed).
