Paralyzer

For some reason, I tend to parody songs that I loathe (the lyrics, not necessarily the beat). But for once (actually, that’s not true…I love Adele. And Johnny, despite what I did to his song), here’s a song I actually like. Not one of my better efforts, but I found it languishing in a folder and figured I might as well post it.

I hold on so casually to my precious book
I wish it would never end
So far it’s been phenomenal, it’s my friend
And I feel happy, as I should

This book has got to be the most amazing thing

Well, I am imagining a well lit place
With this book in my face

Well I’m not paralyzed but I can’t quite write my review
I wanna make them read it too ‘cause it’s so good
If only my post could match what your words can do
I’d be right there too, a published author just like you

I hold out for one more page before I think
I really should go to bed
But when tomorrow comes, I think I should just stay home

My review will hopefully be done in three weeks
