Trish tagged me to answer some questions. And even though it’s been over a week, I didn’t forget!
1. What is your favorite piece of art?
This is hard. I prefer photography and sculpture over painting, though. And landscapes over people. I seriously love looking at the landscape and travel photos on nationalgeographic.com, but I don’t have a favorite. Like books, it all depends on my mood.
2. What literary character do you think would make an awesome world leader?
3. What color do you think should be outlawed from clothing?
I’m afraid that if I so much as look at a hat I get hat head. So that would be a no.
5. What contemporary novel should be added to the high school curriculum?
Boy, am I glad I’m not in any of your classes. These questions are hard!
6. What book featuring real people do you think could work if the characters were switched to animals?
Twilight? Oh wait…they already turn into animals. Okay then…Hunger Games. Just don’t ask me what animal goes with what character. Billy thinks Peeta should be played by a goat, though.
7. Genetically designed humans. Hell yes or absolutely not?
Oh, hell no.
8. What book would you like to see get parodied a la Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?
Moby Dick! Moby Dick and Demons from the Deep? Or perhaps Moby Dick and Medusa? Runner up: any of the Russians. (The Brothers K Meet Cthulhu!)
9. What book would you absolutely hate to see get parodied?
Jane Eyre. Please don’t disillusion me if it’s been done.
10. TV. Awesome source of entertainment or horrifying time suck?
Obnoxiously horrifying time suck and auditory irritant.
11. What literary character should immediately jump off the page and into your bed?
Matthew from A Discovery of Witches, but I’d prefer it was his bed…so much closer to that sexy library he has.
I’m supposed to come up with my own list of 11 questions and tag 11 people, but I suck at stuff like that (I’m always a dead end when it comes to chain letters, too, and hey, I’m still alive!).

Her questions were totally hard! and I’m with you on the hat thing, and how just looking gives me hat head…

I totally agree with your assessment of TV and hats. I dislike both. Great answers today!

LOL Love it. I always think I like hats but I look bad in them and then there’s the problem of never taking a hat off until you’re safe at home with the shades drawn.

Those are tough questions. It sounds like I need to read A Discovery of Witches just to learn more about Matthew.

Fun post! You may get some competition for Matthew, though!

Oh my, SOOOO dying to read A Discovery of Witches. Tempted to shirk off all reading responsibility and go for it.
And you got me with, “(The Brothers K Meet Cthulhu!).”

OK so I am the loser who has yet to respond to these. And the questions are hard! Jenners tagged me too, so I guess I have the option of using hers. Or a mixture. I’m right there with you on the TV and the hats. If the hat goes on, it stays on.

Oh what fun!! I could totally see Curious George leading the world down the road to ruin. : )
This was fun to read. I’m glad you did it … even though you broke the chain and will have only two days until your book cases collapse. To avoid this, send half your books to me.

I have Discovery of Witches right here waiting for me and now I’m thinking I need to get to it. Love me a good book crush.

I love yellow; maybe not that exact shade but I look good in some yellows.
And YAYfor animals running the country!

Does ANYONE look good in that shade of yellow??

I love hats on others, but hate them for me — I freeze in winter rather than wear a hat. Fun answers ! I hate that color (mustard) as well as pea green (ugh). Never forward chain letters either.

My winter coat is that exact shade of mustard. I think I’m the only person in NYC with a coat that isn’t black. People recognize me on the subway because of my jacket. You’d never lose me in a crowd!
