For those of you who are participating in Carl’s most excellent R.I.P. Challenge (which reminds me, I really need to get my shit together and sign up for that. Along with the Stephen King Project.), I’d just like to say that Bret Easton Ellis’s American Psycho and Thomas Harris’s Red Dragon would be two excellent choices. In fact, you couldn’t pick two books that would work so well for R.I.P.
Because they’d also work for Dueling Monsters!
Yes, that’s right. I said Dueling Monsters. Coming soon to a blog near you…
Also. IT. IT would work marvelously for R.I.P.. And the Stephen King Project!
See how I am nothing but helpful hints today?
You’re welcome. And you can re-pay me by putting American Psycho and Red Dragon on your R.I.P. reading lists.

I’m putting it on my to do list for…2015!

I gave Carl American Psycho for Christmas several years ago – he said it was the most twisted gift he’s ever received.

Oh yea. How could I have forgotten… Would I want to do one or both of these in audio? Did Trish WIN either of these??

Yay! Dueling Monsters! I always get so excited when I find out which two will be dueling. Great choices here!

Thanks for posting about The Stephen King Project site!! I’m so behind with the IT readalong but I downloaded the audio today since Audible.com had an incredible $4.95 sale with IT as one of the available selections (and Trish said to do it, I’m learning to do whatever she tells me to do, too)! I am an hour into it. Steven Weber is INCREDIBLE! (His clown voice freaks me out.)

So, I just joined Twitter, and I tried to follow you, and you blocked me. I used to blog about books, but not I just read book blogs. Anyway I just thought I’d mention that I wasn’t a spammer: http://not-another-mom.blogspot.com/.
Sorry for interrupting. I don’t do scary books or I would try to add something relevant!
LOL great tips
And for weirdos like me who sometimes enjoy reading one great long book for the Readathon, IT would be perfect! (11/22/63 was possibly the best readathon book ever, so I’m seriously considering a late #italong entry on Readathon day.)

Oooh…this is a very different dueling monsters contest! Love it! Hannibal vs. that other guy. I can’t imagine who will win!!! : )
You guys are pure evil. I’ve had American Psycho on my Audible wish list for a few months now but downloaded IT first. I am definitely tempted. I don’t know how much more multi-tasking I can do with IT and The Little Stranger!

I have to say American Psycho left images in my mind that, some 20 years later, I still can’t erase.
I read Red Dragon too. Silence of the Lambs was a better book. Hannibal just made me ill.
