I swear to god my brain is on hiatus. At least when I’m not at work. I blame this on the fact that my brain is so NOT on hiatus while I’m at work. Which is a good thing. Work has been crazy busy, but in a most excellent way. Ever since I switched positions at the beginning of the year, the days have flown by, and I’ve learned lots of new stuff, and basically, everything is peachy-keen-hunky-dory. (With the exception of my vocabulary…that seems to be regressing.)
But I think hard for 10 hours and then I come home and I don’t. Think, that is. I do think of things to post about, and then I forget. I write notes about things to post about, and then I flake. I open up Google Reader and I read a few posts, and then I think about commenting and the mind, it just goes lank. <—- That was supposed to be blank, but then I figured lank worked just as well.
Which is why I seem to be posting more about hair color and coffee shops than books. Unless said books have characters that are asses, and then I just make lists of the asses. Which is okay, because as I like to say, “this is my blog and I can post about whatever I damn well please.”
Still. I’d kinda like to chat about a book every once in awhile. But hey…it’ll happen when it happens.
Also. I have been remiss in publicly thanking Amanda at Fig and Thistle, my fab All Hallow’s Read Swap partner who sent me this:
That’s right. In keeping with the subject of brains…zombies…lots and lots of zombies. And a pumpkin PEZ dispenser that is doing a pretty fierce zombie impersonation. Thanks to Ana and Amy for organizing this, and again to Amanda for the upcoming zombie-fest!

I can relate – my brains went MIA years ago.

No, your brain is on Naked Jamie.
Jill, I can relate, though it’s home that’s keeping me occupied, and kids, and not work. My blogging mojo is seriously on hiatus. You write whatever you feel like, and we will be here to read it.

Work that is satisfying is much more important than having a brain when you get home.

Maybe our brains are on vacation together. I haven’t been in contact with mine for like a year or so….

I feel the same way so often when I come home from work! Which may account for why right now I’m more interested in the idea of books than in actually reading them.
I’m in the same boat, hardly reading at all. When I get home from working on fixing up our old house to prepare it for the market or at the end of a day of cleaning/unpacking in the new one, I’m so tired I either veg on the computer or just vegetate, period. It’s a bit distressing, but we all go through those phases. I’m glad your new job is going well!
Lank brain Fizzy is better than no Fizzy at all. Anything you write about is OK by me!
