Things are sure to be scary, and just get scarier
But it’s okay, I gotta few aids
This book’s got so much fright, we’re gonna wear shades

That’s right, I got party favors for this gig. They’re not clown noses, but hopefully the ginormous sunglasses (The Shining? Get it?) give you a little giggle and help you through the scare. But, I’ve only got a few pairs left, so stake your claim soon! (Don’t worry Sandy, Chris, Trish, Ti, Care, and Michelle…yours are already reserved if you’re still planning on joining in.)
The details:
This will be a pretty casual affair. Read the book. Listen to the audio (I hear it’s a good one). Watch the movie. Any or all of the above, it’s your choice. Just do it sometime during the month of February. Tweet about how it’s going using the tag #shineon. Post about how it’s going and I’ll include you in my wrap-up post in early March. You could even take a picture of yourself with the book and your spiffy new glasses! I’ll post a mid-month check in and we can see how many of us have run screaming for the hills.
That’s it. Go forth. Read. Be scared.
